Navigating Energy Efficiency for Manufacturers

This session will offer a panel discussion on reducing energy operating expenses and leveraging the utility rebate and incentive programs available to manufacturing companies across the Inland Empire. Panelists include SoCal Gas, Southern California Edison, and Enterprise Funding Corporation providing information and financing for these projects. Manufacturers who have participated and benefited from these programs will also be in attendance.

Moderated by Patsy Dugger, Project Director, CB&I.

Patsy Dugger is a Project Director in CB&I’s Energy Management and Sustainability division in charge of business development and operations for the Western United States. Ms. Dugger oversees energy efficiency projects and programs with clients including Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Gas Company, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and San Diego Gas and Electric, and supports contracts with Duke Energy and AEP Ohio. Ms. Dugger has more than 20 years in the energy efficiency industry, designing and implementing innovative energy efficiency programs for utilities and their customers. Prior to joining CB&I, Ms. Dugger served small businesses at Honeywell, was the Director of Operations at Ecova, and spent 9 years at PG&E managing energy efficiency programs including new construction, rebates, and market solutions for industrial, agricultural and food processing customers. She was involved with the development of ISO 50001 the new management system standard for energy. In her real life, she is energized by raising her young daughter, cycling, skiing and California’s regional food and wine.

Judy Kniss, Senior Account Manager for Southern California Edison

Judy Kniss is a Senior Account Manager for Southern California Edison.  Judy has 34 years of account management experience, serving Southern California Edison’s key commercial and industrial customers including the top telecomm, food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and mineral customers.  Judy has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, is a Certified Energy Manager and Business Energy Professional.

Jeff Sceranka, President, Enterprise Funding Corporation

Jeff has owned four businesses ranging from a yogurt store to an economic development consulting company. He has had five major career areas, first as a supervisor of his family’s park, second as a hotel consultant, third as a real estate broker, fourth as an economic development consultant, and finally as a commercial lender.

Jeff joined Enterprise Funding Corporation (EFC) in 1983 as a founding director, served as chairman for over 20 years, and since 2000 is president.  Enterprise Funding has over a $100 million dollar loan portfolio and has authorized over $600 million dollars in projects to small businesses in the Inland Empire of Southern California.

Jeff has served on the following Boards and Organizations: IEEP (Inland Empire Economic Partnership), Redlands Chamber of Commerce, IECE (Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship), SBDC (Small Business Development Center Lead Advisory Committee), Cal State San Bernardino Business Alliance, NADCO (National Association of Development Companies), and the IEW marketing consortium.  Jeff is a member of Crew-IE, ACRE-IE, NAIOP, RMA, and ULI.

Aldo Amancio, P.E., Sr. Account Executive for Southern California Gas Company

Aldo Amancio, P.E. is a Sr. Account Executive with Southern Californian Gas Company serving the Stone, Clay, and Glass Industry as well as the municipal water and wastewater industry in the Inland Empire and Imperial Valley.  He is involved in developing creative and cost effective solutions to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty in the areas of energy efficiency, air quality, new technology, and energy.  He has 25 years of experience in energy, working at Southern California Gas Company and Los Angeles Water and Power.
