Ron Hurst
Session I: Participants will be challenged to participate in an interactive workshop that validates the importance of 5S. The workshop will cover importance of a 5S implementation as a foundational strategy for continuous improvement.
Session II: Building on Session I, Session II will look at 5S in a lean implementation and address the role and practice of leadership in ensuring a 5S implementation is effective.
Ron Hurst is a leadership development expert with extensive experience running and improving manufacturing and logistics operations. He is a former Plant manager responsible for California operations of an international steel manufacturing facility. In this role, Ron was involved in implementing numerous continuous improvement projects, building a learning culture, and maintaining performance excellence. During his tenure in operations, Ron was became a Lean 6 Sigma black belt. As the president of Developing Leaders Inc. Ron and his team provide CI training and project leadership, leadership and interpersonal skills training, and strategic consulting in a number of industries including manufacturing, logistics, food service, and health care.
